Ask any wedding photographer and they will tell you that photographing a wedding in December is a totally different ball game to those summer weddings with their long hours of daylight and on good days, some sunshine. However, that makes them no less incredible and you simply have to work with whatever the weather throws at you because in the end, it is always about the people.
Naomi and Andrew had very deliberately planned a relaxed day, in fact the perfect day to end the year as husband and wife. December might have tried some tricks, with freezing cold fog all day, but this was a warm, loving wedding perfectly suited to family, close friends and children, including their own young daughter. The ceremony was in the church local to their home and beautiful, then it was off to a very welcoming, fairylight lit Shenley Cricket Centre for a drinks reception, afternoon tea and a party in the evening.
It was very cold and the opportunities for outdoor photos were limited, but we managed a few, including a play in the fog after dark and indoors we had lovely twinkly rooms to work with, just perfect!
A few quick peeks for Naomi and Andrew and their friends to enjoy until the full gallery is ready. Congratulations both of you, it was a wonderful day.
